who we are

Why are tutors important?
The answer is simple. Tutoring is about building a relationship with a child and helping them grow both academically and personally. At BK Tutoring Sessions, we focus on enhancing the learning experience beyond the classroom.
We believe that all scholars can develop and sharpen their knowledge and skill set; however, it is up to the instructor/tutor to “Bring the Knowledge” in a way that meets scholars where they are.
We accomplish this by:
- Fostering an open learning environment with a learning style that meets students where they are.
- Providing a platform that takes the guesswork out of finding the perfect tutor.
- Providing a safe space for black and brown educators to organically connect with students in need of tutoring services.
- Providing a diverse experience outside of a traditional learning environment for our students with the presence of black and brown educators.
Whether virtually or physically, our mission is to meet students where they are in every way possible.
